Persepolis was the ceremonial capital
of the Achaemenid Empire (550-330 B.C.)
Persepolis, Nagsh-e Rostam
and Pasargad ancient sites
are situated 70 km northeast
of the modern city of Shiraz,
Iran.
Shiraz is known as the city of poets
and flowers. It is home to some of the
Persian world renown poets
such as
Hafez
and Saadi.
Shiraz is also considered by many to be
the city of gardens, due to the many gardens
and fruit trees that can be seen in the city.
Esfahan was once one of the largest
cities in the world. It flourished
from 1050 to 1722, particularly
in the 16th century under
the Safavid dynasty, when it became the political as well as the science capital of Persia. Even today, the city retains much of its past glory.
The historic Naghsh-e Jahan Square (World Plaza) in Esfahan is one of
the biggest city squares in the world,
and an outstanding example
of Iranian architecture.

has been designated by UNESCO
as a World Heritage Site.
Tehran, the capital for the past 200 years, is the largest city of Iran.
It is also considered the financial hub
of the country, with the most financial
and commercial activities in the nation.
Contemporary Tehran is a modern city
featuring many attractions.

the top 20 economies in the world, is considered one of  most expensive cities.
